Stomach Turning Sex Trafficking Stats

Online Schools has organized some harrowing stats on prostitution, and lo and behold: the demand for paid sex fuels the demand for human trafficking. Big surprise. 2.5 million people are currently being trafficked. $58 billion dollars is the annual take for the cowards behind the curtain. Sometimes things feel so helpless even when there are tons of people trying to fight this (Restore NYC, The Blind Project, et al). 

Providing economic opportunity for victims is what Hello Rewind is all about. But we'd give anything to see a day when there were no more new victims to support.

these are really touching stats, makes me want to get involved, which shows how powerful those stats are because i never used to want to get involved with this issue before. maybe you should post these stats on the side bar of this blog so that these stats are always visible on the first page that opens on the blog instead of just this one post that later will have to be scrolled down to see. just a thought. thanks for posting and all your hard work.
